Jen may prescribe you practitioner supplements as part of your Be Vital Health Report. She will also create an account for you with Vital.ly whereby you can conveniently access your prescribed practitioner supplements through a simple online website, and have them delivered straight to you.
Why not just pop down to the supermarket and grab your supplements there? Firstly, Jen has prescribed you specific formulas that may with the perfect mix of ingredients for supporting your health and vitality. Secondly, unfortunately there is a big difference between over the counter supplements and practitioner supplements. The ingredients and doses in over the counter supplements vary widely. Getting a therapeutic dose is really important if you expect to see results. For example if you have a headache you don't take a 1/4 of a Panadol tablet and expect it work. Same with herbs and supplements. Practitioner supplements contain therapeutic doses, so you actually get results.
The form of herbs and nutrients are really important as well. In herbal tablets we can either use dried herb (cheaper), or a dried ethanolic extract which is much stronger. Guess what your over the counter supplements contain? If you want better results stick to practitioner ethanolic extracts.
There is a vast difference in absorption between different vitamin and mineral forms used in supplements. Practitioner supplements use the best absorbed and best utilized so that you get maximum impact. Some cheap forms of minerals don't even make it past your digestive system, hence the bad rap that Magnesium and Iron have for causing digestive symptoms. Well absorbed forms of these minerals don't typically pose a problem.
